Like topical fish growers and wholesalers, retailers are now turning to “on location” oxygen generation as a means to improve customer satisfaction. Offering an economical alternative to purchased oxygen, AirSep® Corporation’s Commercial (PSA) Oxygen Generators allow aquatic retailers to fill the void in the bag used to transport fish with oxygen, instead of plain air. The oxygen in this headspace helps maintain the level of dissolved oxygen within the water, thereby minimizing the stress fish experience during their trip “home.” This in turn reduces the incidence of disease and mortality once they are introduced into the customer’s home aquarium.
A standard product line of 21 models generate oxygen from compressed air at flows of 12–5,500 SCF/hr (.32–144.59 Nm3/hr), at a fraction of the cost of delivered supplies. Self-contained models only require a standard 120 or 220 VAC outlet and offer “plug-and-play” operation.
