Effective and appropriate wayfinding solutions don't happen by accident but instead require careful planning and forethought. In order to derive the greatest financial benefits, an organization must integrate wayfinding at the beginning of its facility's design and construction process rather than at the end. Fortunately, modern wayfinding solutions - from flexible modular signs to interactive digital displays - excel in meeting just about every need an organization my have, whether it's enhancing a visitor's experience throughout a facility or reinforcing the organizational brand, or both.

(FEBRUARY 23, 2011 - PRINCETON, NJ) - One of the most important facets of fleet management is the ability to conduct a lifecycle cost analysis; unfortunately, for many fleet managers, this can also be one of the most difficult aspects of the job. Thanks to a new product by NAFA Fleet Management Association, fleet managers can learn all they need to know about lifecycle cost analysis in just three hours!

NAFA’s new Lifecycle Cost Analysis for Fleets was created to show fleet managers how to implement the use of analytical financial modeling within their vehicle fleets. Available on a computer flash drive, this narrated learning presentation takes about three hours to review, including time to complete all four review activities. Two complete lifecycle cost analysis examples are provided - one using U.S. dollars and miles and the other based in Canadian dollars and kilometers.

With this easy-to-follow resource, fleet managers will gain a realistic perspective by completing activities using their own problems and information. Examples of actual spreadsheets used by NAFA Members let users see how their peers are doing lifecycle cost analysis modeling. These examples include a step-by-step, realistic lifecycle costing example as approached by a leased corporate fleet; a demonstration of lifecycle costing from the owned public fleet perspective; a lifecycle cost analysis model for a major construction equipment manufacturer; and examples from fleet managers throughout every segment of fleet.

"In my 25 years at NAFA, this is one of the best products I have ever seen NAFA release," said the Association’s Executive Director, Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "Every fleet manager should have this tool on their computer."

This product will help fleet managers better understand the complex problems in lifecycle cost analysis to help them make better and more informed decisions. It will bring quantifiable data in one computation for accuracy; explain how to communicate the basis of these decisions to key executive management; link the strategic planning process and lifecycle cost analysis to better justify replacement budgets and get management buy-in; and will help fleet managers understand how to make their case clear no matter their industry, fleet specifics, or geographic region.

Lifecycle Cost Analysis for Fleets is available for NAFA Members and Affiliates at a special introductory rate of $65.34 until March 15. The price for non-members is $139. After March 15, the price for NAFA Members becomes $99. Note: due to the file size of the product, it is only available on a flash drive.
